Heart Ache by Morgan Kearns ~ A must read

Gabrielle Ryan felt an electric attraction to her new employer the first time he reached out and shook her hand. Three years later, she dreams of him and can sense his presence when she’s awake. Not that it does her any good. It seems all Nikolai wants is an assistant—and to Gabby’s chagrin, it’s not to assist him with taking off his pants!

For the last four hundred years Nikolai Voinea has searched for the one female capable of easing the empty ache in his chest. All it took was a single touch to bring life back to his heart. Stubborn and determined not to make the same mistakes as his father, Nikolai keeps his feelings for Gabrielle under wraps—except for the occasional appearance in her dreams.

Completely oblivious to Niko's feelings for her, Gabby agrees to marry a man who loves her unconditionally. But a male never gives up his heartmate. Ever. When murder charges make Gabby second guess everything she knows about Nikolai, she’s hurt and angry and determined to walk away. But Nikolai’s just as determined to do everything within his power to keep her.

Hello all! I know it has been a bit since I have posted a review so I thought I would start back with Heart Ache by Morgan Kearns. First off I received this book in trade for an honest and fair review. Now if you are a paranormal romance lover like me, then read on. If you haven't tried this genre yet, then this is a great book to get your feet wet with.

I love any type of paranormal story with a soul mate romantic theme and I got that and much more with this book. What girl wouldn't want to believe that they have that heartmate out there just waiting or searching for you. You get sucked in right from the start with Nikko and Gabby's story. You can feel the sexual tension radiating from the screen and all you want to do is jump in and help guide them to each other. A bit of jumbled communication makes it harder than what it should be for them to be together. You want to smack each of them at different points and say "Duh, dummy look right in front of you" Over obstacles and racing against time Nikko and Gabby finally find each other and the truth about each other and their destiny.

This is a great read, one you won't want to put down. I give it 5 dragonflies! Go take a look at it and all the other books Ms. Kearns has available. You can find her at http://morgankearns.com/ .

Have you read this book or another from Ms. Kearns? Tell me your thoughts, I love hearing what my fellow readers think!

  1. Enjoyed your review Miranda.

Stories of unrequited love are usually good but almost always frustrating wondering if the main characters will end up together in the end.
